Your Adirondack vacation as you always dreamed it should be. Camp "Wildflower" is perfectly located to enjoy the true Adirondack experience. Five minutes by car or boat to the "All American" town of Saranac Lake where you can dine, shop or take in outdoor entertainment by the band shell. There is a nice public boat launch as well as a full service marina. The town of Lake Placid is only 8 miles away and features up-scale dining, shopping and all the activities of the Olympic venues. Head upriver from our dock, and explore the famous 23-mile Saranac River chain of lakes which includes Owassa, site of ESPN's Bass Classic, and Kiwassa, a hidden gem. Beyond Kiwassa you will find Middle Saranac with its half-mile, shallow, sandy beach and Lower Saranac, one of the most beautiful and pristine lakes in the Adirondacks. Lower Saranac offers numerous day-use areas and overnight campsites, many located on islands. Fishing for bass and pike is great wherever you go. There are also many fine golf courses in the area so bring your clubs. Or you might want to hike "the 46" and see the area from the High Peaks. The two slip boat dock is only steps away and the waterfront also features a small sandy beach and a swim platform for the kids. There is a canoe and rowboat at your disposal, or bring your boat and tie it right up at the dock. Enjoy evening campfires by the water while you enjoy the scenery. The cabin is very private and features many upgrades including Adirondack furnishings, twig railings, wood burning stove, expanded digital cable with a 42" flatscreen TV, and wireless internet. Cell phone service is excellent. There are three bedrooms; two feature new queen size beds and one has a twin and a full that are new as well. Linen service is optional at an extra cost, or bring your own. The two bathrooms have showers, and the upstairs bedrooms each have sink vanities to get the family ready fast. The living room is spacious and flows to a large deck for dining or relaxing. The eat-in kitchen is fully equipped and features a large fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. The cabin's water system is fed from the lake. Bottled water is required for drinking. We will furnish a "starter supply".
